Simple Quick Homemade Quesadilla How to Feed Family of 10

In this video we make our family favorite Homemade Quesadillas

Simple Quick Homemade Quesadilla is one of our go to meals for our large family. They are simple because they are simple to make. I would equate the process to the same level as grilled cheese. These are great for a few reasons

  1. The kids love them
  2. They are simple
  3. Whatever they don’t eat the day we cook them they bring in lunch boxes.

Here is the simple Step by Step Process to make these simple quick homemade quesadilla to feed a large family.

Things you will need

  1. Large pack of flour or corn tortillas (Mission Flour Tortilla Soft Taco 10ct, 17.5oz (2 packages))
  2. Pack of shredded cheese (your choice)
  3. Pack of chicken breast
  4. Spray butter (I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray Pack of 2)
  5. Griddle or large fry pan
  6. Optional bell pepper, onion, steak, pork, etc.

The optional step is because we use chicken and cheese and some with just cheese for the kids. Then we make us some with all the fixing. Some of our kiddos like all the fixings but most like the basic quesadillas. You can really add whatever you like. They are so easy to make if you experiment with them and fail, no biggie.

Cooking Process

  1. Season your chicken. We use a little secret you can only get here in Louisiana (Perioux Cajun Seasoning) You can not find this in stores.
  2. Either on and outside grill, air fryer, or oven cook your chicken breast (recommend for quick cooking Ninja FG551 Foodi Smart XL 6-in-1 Indoor Grill with 4-Quart Air Fryer Roast Bake Dehydrate Broil and Leave-in Thermometer, with Extra Large Capacity, and a Stainless Steel Finish}
  3. Heat your pan or griddle
  4. Spray it with cooking spray (recommend Pam Butter Flavor Canola Oil Spray (Pack of 2))
  5. Spray one side of the tortilla with spray butter
  6. Place it on the cooking surface, on top of the tortilla place cooked chicken then cover with shredded cheese.

  1. Spray another tortilla with butter and place that tortilla on top of chicken and cheese butter side up.
  2. Wait till cheese is melting so the top tortilla is starting to stick
  3. Flip it and check till the tortilla is golden brown.

  1. Remove from the cooking surface and give them about 5 mins to sit. This helps with cutting them. Use a pizza cutter (recommend 14” Pizza Cutter by KitchenStar | Sharp Stainless Steel Slicer Knife - Rocker Style w Blade Cover | Chop and Slices Perfect Portions + Dishwasher Safe – Premium Pizza Oven Accessories to cut tortilla into wedges like a pizza.
  2. Plate and serve.

That is it. A great thing to add is salsa on the side so everyone can dip their quesadilla. We recommend (Naked Infusions Organic Gourmet Salsa - Variety Pack - Mild - Medium - Extra Hot - Garlic - 4 x 16 oz jars). That is it. It is that simple. Let us know how it worked out for you.
