Kemah TX, Must Stop Breakfast Stop, Seabrook Waffle Co

Kemah Texas is a city on Galveston Bay, near Houston, Texas. Overlooking the bay, Kemah Boardwalk is a sprawling entertainment complex, with waterfront dining and theme-park rides, plus a stingray touch pool and a rainforest exhibit with snakes and turtles. Nearby, the Kemah Lighthouse District is filled with a variety of shops and restaurants.

But just out of sight and not where all the lights and rides reside is a special place. Seabrook Waffle Co, is only seconds away from the Kemah Boardwalk. It is nestled under a few oak trees off 146 on the northside of the bridge. There is a building in front of the Seabrook Waffle Co, that blocks it from the main hwy 146.

Hours

Seabrook Waffle Co is Open from 8am to 2pm Monday to Thursday. 8am to 9pm Friday and Saturday.

Address

1402 5th St, Seabrook, TX 77586

If you are a local resident in the Kemah area you know this spot and you know how awesome it is. This Blog is meant for the traveler. This is a must stop breakfast stop when you are in the Kemah or Seabrook area. If you are local you can find them online either through their my google business page or Grubhub.

If you are visiting the Kemah Boardwalk you need to add the Seabrook Waffle Co to your list of places to eat and visit. Even if you are not hungry you should still stop by the Seabrook Waffle Co to at least get a coffee.

Atmosphere

Seabrook Waffle Co, is loaded with atmosphere and charm. The Kemah Boardwalk is a cool place but it is amazing how the Seabrook Waffle Co, creates that same vacation vibe without spending millions.

I think it is the trees. The trees give it that shaded cozy feeling. If you have ever been to grandma's house and she has a large live oak tree with a swing. You know the nostalgic feeling I was experiencing.

There is good parking and not much separates you from the tree covered patio area. If feels easy and natural. I can not think of a better place to sip on a coffee on a cool morning.

It has a magical whimsical feel to the patio. If I were a local in Kemah or Seabrook, I could see myself and a laptop spending hours working and soaking up the atmosphere.

Inside it is the same cozy feeling. With just a few tables your conversation has to be intimate or the whole place can here you. The employees were super nice and helpful. They do not even realize the magical feeling Seabrook Waffle Co. creates for customers.

Food

Best part of Seabrook Waffle Co. is the combination of food and atmosphere. The food is next level comfort food. When I ordered I was not expecting the wonderful taste and texture from such a small local business. I did not know waffles could be so good. It is like the New Orleans of waffles. I could see their menu as a food truck on food truck wars blowing away the competition. I say that because I wish Seabrook Waffle Co had a food truck so maybe we could get one in our area.

1. Waffles With Eggs Benedict

When I travel and it is breakfast time I seek Eggs Benedict. When we pulled off the highway I never expected this small cozy waffle shop to have Eggs Benedict. I was so excited to get Eggs Benedict.

In my mind I thought it would be eggs benedict with a side of waffles. I was so wrong. It was eggs benedict on top of waffles. I was just in shock and confused. It looked amazing. Never would I have every had waffles and eggs benedict this way. Thank you Seabrook Waffle Company. I give this a 10 out of 10!

2. Chicken and Waffles

Again my first impression of the grounds did not direct my thoughts to such amazing works of art. The chicken and waffles were also presented the same way the eggs benidict is. Completely amazing another 10 out of 10!

3. Waffle Bites

The little guys in the FLC ordered the waffle bites. They did not go to waste. Kids are used to eating box waffles. These waffles are no where close to that. The kids verified how good they were buy the empty paper bowls.

4. Coffee

They had an assortment of coffees and drinks. They had glass bottle sodas that the kids thought were so cool. The older generation, such as myself, forget sometimes how things use to be. It is always fun to watch the kids discover new things. They purchased the sodas but the real highlight for the kiddos was using the bottle opener on the wall.

They were so confused until the first one finally figured out how to open the metal cap. As a parent it was so fun watching them experience that simple moment. A moment added to our trip by Seabrook Waffle Co. Not planned, or designed it just is and just adds to the entire feel and vibe of the Seabrook Waffle Co.

I was unsure of what coffee to order. The young lady behind the register (Leslie) seemed very confident in her business. I asked her to make me her best coffee. She ended up creating an off menu concoction. It was sweet and iced. When she delivered to the table my better half asked for a taste. It was only after the one sip that I had come to the conclusion I was in need of another coffee for me.

I am officially naming this delightful drink the LESLIE SPECIAL. So next time you visit be sure to ask for the Leslie Special. If you like sweet and you like iced coffee this was very enjoyable.

Conclusion

I highly recommend the Seabrook Waffle Co. If you are visiting Kemah Tx for a day or longer you need to add the Seabrook Waffle Co to your stops. Their take on waffles is amazing. Your taste buds will appreciate the artistry which is the Seabrook Waffle Co.

Your soul and senses will be renewed sitting either outside under the live oak canopy. Or sitting inside snuggled against a window filled with warm sunlight. Being so close to the Kemah Boardwalk you must stop for breakfast at the Seabrook Waffle co. Tell them the Full Life Crew sent you. Don't forget to order the Leslie Special with your Eggs Benedict.
