Mom of 8 Cleaning, How Does She Keep Up?

Being a Mom of 8 kiddos is no simple task. Many people ask me, "How do you Do it?" A little pray hope and faith, but mostly planning. On a normal day I have certain task like laundry, dishes, and making sure my crew is fed. Multitasking is the name of the game. It is not uncommon for me to be actively involved in cooking dinner and folding cloths while calling out spelling words.

Getting the others involved is very essential. My husband helps. He cooks and helps with cleaning up. He is also a great source of motivation for my kiddos to clean up. A couple of deep voice questions to a teenager has great power. My daughters have always been a huge help they tend to see me struggling or dishes in the sink and just step in. The boys I have to ask. However, when asked it usually works. I have to ask in the right way. The question needs to start with the following. Hey I really need your help I want to get this done before Dad gets Home. If my subtle cry for help fails, I can always revert to, let me call your dad.

My robots help tremendously. Have the IRobot Roomba i7 with the automatic bin empty base. It is by far the most helpful device I own. I can set it to do certain rooms or the entire house. I can put it on a schedule and forget about it. I had a cheaper robot vacuum. It was always getting stuck. The IRobot Roomba i7 seems to have better technology than my previous robot. It navigates around obstacles very well. I also love the self empty feature. The self empty feature is super convenient. I originally saw the price of this robot and was scared. My previous robot was a fraction of the price. However, now that I have it I do not know how I lived without it. It is by far my favorite device I own. Here is a link to it. iRobot Roomba i7+ (7550) Robot Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal-Empties Itself, Wi-Fi Connected, Smart Mapping, Works with Alexa, Ideal for Pet Hair, Carpets, Hard Floors, Black

I also have the IRobot Braava. I love this guy not so much for the mopping but the dusting. I can put the duster on him and every day he will dust. This robot is only $199.00 I did the math. This robot cost me 54 cents per day to have a dust free floor. That is only for 1 year. after that the cost gets less and less. Here is a link to this one. iRobot Braava 380t Advanced Robot Mop- Wet Mopping and Dry Sweeping Cleaning Modes, Large Spaces

Both of these little guys are super helpful. They eliminate the daily vacuuming and sweeping which only leaves me with the mopping. I can tell you having a house with 10 people there is a ton of foot traffic. Keeping the floors clean is a battle that will never end.
