It is effortless to gain an understanding of God's existence without having to take a seat in church. All one needs to do is observe the actions of people and compare them with the Ten Commandments; it will become apparent that He does, indeed, exist.

First commandment. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3). This commandment is a statement that God is above all else and should be the focus of any person’s life. The fact that our culture is so fervently devoted to the pursuit of money, sex and drugs along with an obsession for fame repeatedly serves as a reminder that God undeniably exists. It's not necessarily society’s infatuation with these material items itself which demonstrates His presence, but rather it is the overpowering force behind them which drives this behavior - be it social or traditional media- endorsing such immoral content while simultaneously muffling acts of kindness and mercy.

Second commandment. "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image" (Exodus 20:4-5). This commandment goes against the idolization of objects and celebrities. Despite this, we often find ourselves doing just that – using our time and energy to give attention to something or someone who has no tangible benefit in our lives. We idolize objects, people and things that do not exist in a meaningful way to further our spiritual growth. This is an indication of God’s existence because it shows that we are looking for something bigger than ourselves - something divine - to fill the void in our souls.

Third commandment. "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain" (Exodus 20:7). This commandment is a reminder to treat the Lord’s name with respect. Although this may sound like an archaic concept, it is still relevant today. In fact, many people are guilty of using God’s name in films, music, and conversation. Why do films almost force feed taking the Lord's name in vain. Those in authority are slowly loosening the restraints, allowing you to become increasingly accustomed to transgressing.

Fourth Commandment. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Exodus 20:8-11). This commandment speaks to honoring God’s day of rest. On days of rest, society is disregarding this sacred commandment in favor of their own. Many shops remain open and sports reign supreme - no true Sabbath respite can be found.

5th commandment. "Thou shalt not kill" (Exodus 20:13). This moral commandment is known throughout the world and accepted in almost every society. From the earliest days of history, we have seen that people are aware of this standard yet it has been broken on a massive scale. Whether through war, murder or genocide - these atrocities show us that despite our best attempts to adhere to this commandment, we are still aware of its existence.

6th Commandment. "Thou shalt not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14). This moral commandment is also accepted worldwide, yet broken on a daily basis. The prevalence of promiscuity, pornography and sex scandals in the media are further proof that God exists because they demonstrate an awareness of a spiritual standard that all people should strive to uphold.

Examining the Ten Commandments provides us with a clear image. Some powerful entity is working hard to lead humanity away from God's teachings; why else would we have football games on Sundays and human idols like CEOs, musicians, politicians etc., praised in society every day? What force could possibly be so determined to defy divine law?

God's Law offers us guidance on a wide range of social issues, yet it is all too often supplanted by worldly dictates. We are constantly inundated with these artificial commands and standards that can easily eclipse the timeless wisdom found within God's Law.

Why? Why such a grand effort to counter all of God's laws. The simple fact that there are so many of societal action standing in direct conflict with the commandments that proves God exists. Not from the actions of society, but from the fact that we are aware of a standard we should be following. We know what is right and wrong and yet we often ignore it. This is God's way of showing us He exists and His laws are there for our own good.

In the end, we must make our own decisions as God has granted us free will. The stage is set, and evil is unfortunately rampant in expansive ways: Goodness appears to be wickedness, while wickedness seems admirable. Our modern society amplifies desires for greed, envy and hate - making it difficult to deny that God exists; this formidable effort towards such goals provides a clear answer.

In every epic struggle, there is a hero and an adversary. In this case, God stands as the courageous savior while the world plays out its role as villain. Without warning or notice, you will be thrust into a daily duel for your soul between these two powerful forces - how it unfolds depends on which one you choose to serve. Do not fall prey to the lies of this world. If you are looking for something bigger than yourself - something divine - to fill the void in your life, look no further than God. While the world tries to convince you otherwise, He is there and ready to prove His existence to you. Do not be fooled by this counterfeit life - God exists and has given us a path we must choose for ourselves.
